After a long wait of six years, HONDA is finally back with it’s one of the highest selling cars globally- the all-new tenth generation Honda CIVIC which comes with a facelift model. It is said to launch in the month of March’19, there is no confirmed date of its launch, however, Honda might launch it around March 8 with an expected price of Rs 14 lakhs (base model) ex-showroom price and Rs 20 Lakh (Top-end) variant ex-showroom price. This new Honda Civic will be in rivalry with Skoda Octavia, Hyundai Elantra and many more. This new Honda Civic’s interior and exterior both are an absolute delight. It has a 7.0-inch infotainment screen that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
This is the first time that Civic is being offered in a diesel variant. It is powered by 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder, i-DTEC turbocharged diesel engine which also there in HONDA CR-V. The diesel option misses out on an automatic variant so as to reduce pricing. This engine produces 118bhp of power and comes with a six-speed manual gearbox. It is equipped with multiple safety features and high-end security. The list consists of a segment-first lane-keeping assist, six airbags, hill-start assist, ABS with EBD, electric parking brake with an auto-hold function, a reverse camera, walk-away auto-lock feature and ISOFIX child-seat mounts on the rear seats, stability control and agile handling assist. This new Honda Civic has achieved a five-star rating in ASEAN NCAP’s crash tests.

Talking about its fuel efficiency and other specifications, the diesel variant will serve you with a 26.8kmpl and the petrol variant will have 16.5kmpl. The Diesel Engine with 1.6-litre, four-cylinder i-DTEC has Max Power of 118bhp @ 4,000rpm and Max Torque of 300Nm @ 2,000rpm with an Acceleration of (0-100kmph) in under 10.5 seconds.
The Petrol Engine comes with a 1.8-litre i-VTEC, Max Power 139bhp @ 6,500rpm, Max Torque 174Nm @ 4,300rpm
